Toyota 4A-GE Engine Harness Information:

Chassis Options:

  • Universal Fit: This harness is plug and play to the Engine but will require a handful of wires hooked up to your chassis to function such as 12v+ Power Supplies, Fuel Pump/Engine Fan Relay Triggers, Tacho, Temp Gauge, Reverse Lights etc. A mating connector kit is included as well as pinout and wiring information. Universal Fit Harnesses are intended for Engine Swaps into Chassis's we don't supply a Plug and Play Harness for or more basic vehicles such as Rally/Drift/Track Cars etc. 
  • AE86 Zenki/Kouki/AE85/AE86 SR5: Please choose what model your AE86 is here. If you are unsure please contact us with a photo of your engine bay for more information. AE85/AE86 SR5 models do not have Fuel Pump Wiring included in the OEM Chassis Fuse Box. We include a Relay for same on our harness which will need hooked up to your Fuel Pump. All AE86 Plug and Play options include OEM functions such as Wiper/Screen Wash,Reverse Lights, Temp Gauge, Oil Pressure Gauge etc. A/C is available if required, please contact us for more information. 

Intake Options:

Please select what intake you intend to use on your engine here. 

  • OEM Intake (16V): For use with the OEM 16v Intake Manifold and Single Throttle Body. Please note you will require an ECU with a Map Sensor or an external Map Sensor with this setup. 
  • 20V ITB: Select this option if you are using a 20V Engine or 20V ITB's on your 16V Engine.
  • Jenvey ITB: Select this option if you are using a Jenvey ITB kit. 

Trigger Source:

Please select what Trigger Source you intend to use here.

  • 16v Distributor: Select this option if you intend to use the 16V Distributor as your Crank/Cam Position source. Please note some ECU's won't support this option or the Distributor base may need modified to suit. We highly recommend upgrading to a Trigger Kit on 16V Engines as this part is now 40+ year old and very prone to failure. It will also tidy up your Engine Bay massively. 
  • 20V Distributor: Select this option if you are retaining the OEM Distributor Base in your 20V Engine. While we can fit a Trigger Kit to the 20V we recommend retaining the Distributor Base as it provides both Crank and Cam Position,is very reliable and is out of sight behind the cylinder head. A blanking cap is available if using Coil on Plug also.
  • Crank Trigger Kit: Our Trigger Kit uses a solid Alloy Crank Pulley with a 36-1 integrated toothed wheel. It comes supplied with Crank Sensor and Mount and options available for both RWD and FWD Water Pump Housings. Please note Power Steering and A/C are not supported with this kit.

Coil Type/Add Coil/Tacho Adaptor:

Please select what Ignition System you intend to use here.

  • OEM 16V/20V Single Coil/Igniter: Select this option if you intend to use the OEM Single Coil/Igniter.
  • Coil on Plug Harness: Select this option with the appropriate coil you require to add a Coil on Plug Harness. 
  • Add Coil: Select your required coil here. Price includes 4 x Coils.
  • Tacho Adaptor Module: A Tacho Adaptor Module is required to keep the tacho functional in the OEM AE86 Instrument Cluster. This is not required if you are using an Aftermarket Tacho or Digital Display. 

Injector Type:

Please select what injector type you intend to use here.

  • OEM 16v Injector: Some early model 4A-GE's came with Low Impedance Injectors and most aftermarket ECU options do not support same. If you are unsure what injector type you have please measure the resistance of each injector. Typical Low Impedance injector will have a coil resistance below 5 Ohms. Typical High Impedance injector will have a coil resistance over 12 Ohms. We highly recommend to upgrade injectors at the time of your ECU install. OEM Injectors are 40+ years old now and are prone to fail. Our new Bosch Injectors come as a Flow Matched set with all injector data to hand to your tuner. 
  • OEM 20V Injector: Select this option if you are using 20V ITB's on your 16V Engine that retain the 20V Side Feed Fuel Rail or a 20V Engine. We do not have replacement side feed injectors available for sale. 
  • Bosch EV1: Select this option if you are adding either of our Add Injectors options. Please note our injectors are to suit the 16V Fuel Rail only. 

Harness Add On's/Add Sensors:

Select any number of Harness Add On's you require here. You can also add any sensors you require in the Add Sensors Menu. If you require a Harness Add On not listed please contact us for more information.
